Cookie Policy

Last updated: 21 April 2026
This Cookie Policy explains exactly which cookies mightymouth.co.nz sets on your device, why each one exists, who provides it, and how long it lasts. Cookies are small text files placed on your computer or smartphone by websites you visit. They are not capable of carrying viruses, and they cannot access data stored elsewhere on your device. This policy should be read alongside our Privacy Policy. If you have questions, contact [email protected].

1. What Cookies Are and Why We Use Them

Cookies are plain-text files — not programs — that a web server asks your browser to store. When you revisit the site, your browser sends that cookie back to the server, allowing the site to remember your preferences, count unique visitors, and attribute affiliate link clicks. There are two main types: session cookies, which are deleted when you close your browser, and persistent cookies, which remain on your device until they expire or you delete them. Cookies set by mightymouth.co.nz itself are called "first-party cookies"; those set by Google, Cloudflare, or affiliate networks are "third-party cookies".

Without strictly necessary cookies, core navigation on this site would break. Without analytics cookies, we could not measure which casino reviews are read most and therefore could not prioritise the most useful content. Affiliate tracking cookies allow us to receive commission from casinos when readers click through and sign up — this income funds the real-money testing that underpins every review. You can read more about how commissions work in our Affiliate Disclosure.

2. Cookie Categories and Full List

A) Strictly Necessary Cookies

These cookies are essential for the website to function at a basic level. They enable page navigation, security checks, and your consent preferences. They cannot be switched off without breaking core functionality, and no consent is required to set them under Australian law.

B) Analytics Cookies

Analytics cookies help us understand how visitors engage with mightymouth.co.nz — which pages are most viewed, how long readers spend on a review, and what search terms brought them to us. All data is aggregated and anonymised before storage; we do not build individual user profiles. Google Analytics 4 is our analytics platform, with IP anonymisation enabled (the last octet of every IP address is replaced with zero before any data reaches Google's servers).

C) Functional Cookies

Functional cookies remember choices you make to improve your experience, such as your preferred display language. They are not strictly necessary but they reduce friction on repeat visits. If blocked, the site will still work but may not remember your settings between sessions.

D) Marketing / Affiliate Tracking Cookies

These cookies are set by casino affiliate networks (e.g. Income Access, NetRefer) when you click a "Claim Bonus" or "Play Now" button. Their sole purpose is to record that the visit to the casino was referred from mightymouth.co.nz, so that we can receive the applicable commission. They contain only a technical click identifier — no personally identifiable information is stored. These cookies do not build advertising profiles, and they do not cause you to be targeted with ads on other websites.

3. Third-Party Providers — Detailed Notes

Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC, USA)

Google Analytics 4 is our primary analytics tool. It collects anonymised data about how visitors navigate mightymouth.co.nz: page views, scroll depth, session duration, referral source, and device type. IP anonymisation is enabled by default in GA4 — your IP address is truncated before the data is stored on Google's servers. Google LLC is based in the United States; data transfers are governed by Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission, and Google participates in the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. You can permanently opt out of GA4 tracking using the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-on. Google's full privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy.

Cloudflare Inc. (USA)

Our site uses Cloudflare as a content delivery network (CDN) and DDoS-protection layer. Cloudflare terminates all HTTP connections at its edge network and forwards requests to our origin server, which means Cloudflare's servers see request metadata (IP address, request path, User-Agent) for security purposes. The cf_clearance and __cf_bm cookies it sets are purely technical security tokens — they do not track you across the internet or build advertising profiles. Cloudflare's privacy policy: cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.

Casino Affiliate Networks (Income Access, NetRefer, SoftSwiss Affiliates)

When you click a "Claim Bonus" or "Play Now" link on this site, you are redirected through an affiliate tracking URL provided by the casino's partner network. At the point of redirect, the network sets a cookie (typically btag, clickid or affid) containing only a unique click identifier and a timestamp. This cookie allows the casino to confirm that a subsequent registration or deposit was referred by mightymouth.co.nz, enabling us to receive the appropriate commission. The cookie does not contain your name, email, IP address or any other personal identifier. It is automatically deleted after 30–90 days depending on the network. For a full explanation of how affiliate commissions work, see our Affiliate Disclosure.

4. How to Manage Cookies

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Below are direct links to instructions for the most common browsers. Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies (Cloudflare, session) may prevent some pages from loading correctly; blocking analytics cookies has no effect on your ability to read reviews or access casino links; blocking marketing cookies means affiliate click tracking may not function, but you can still visit casinos directly.

Google Chrome

Open Chrome → click the three-dot menu → Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data. You can block third-party cookies, allow cookies from specific sites, or clear all existing cookies. Full instructions: support.google.com/chrome/answer/95647.

Mozilla Firefox

Open Firefox → Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data. Firefox offers Standard, Strict and Custom modes. In Custom mode you can specifically block third-party tracking cookies while allowing functional cookies. Instructions: Mozilla Support — Cookies.

Apple Safari

On macOS: Safari menu → Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data. On iOS: Settings app → Safari → Privacy & Security → Block All Cookies. Safari's Intelligent Tracking Prevention (ITP) already blocks many third-party tracking cookies by default. Instructions: support.apple.com — manage cookies.

Microsoft Edge

Open Edge → Settings → Privacy, search, and services → Cookies and site permissions → Manage and delete cookies. Edge offers three privacy levels — Basic, Balanced and Strict. Strict blocks most third-party cookies. Instructions: Microsoft Support — Edge cookies.

Android Chrome

Open Chrome on Android → tap the three-dot menu → Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies. You can block third-party cookies without affecting first-party site cookies.

5. What Happens If You Block Cookies

If you block strictly necessary cookies: the Cloudflare security layer may repeatedly prompt you to confirm you are human, and page-level features may not work as expected.

If you block analytics cookies: your visit will not be counted in our traffic statistics, and we will not be able to identify which reviews are most useful to improve. There is no effect on your ability to read content or click links.

If you block marketing / affiliate cookies: you can still visit casinos via our links, but the click may not be attributed to mightymouth.co.nz. This does not affect your access to any casino bonus — casinos award welcome offers to new players regardless of how they arrived. Our commission would simply not be tracked for that visit.

All review content on mightymouth.co.nz remains freely accessible regardless of your cookie settings. You can change your preferences at any time by adjusting your browser settings or clearing your cookies. For further information see our Privacy Policy or contact us.
